Who I am

As a public school student in Dallas, I noticed that children who previously were provided with support for neurodivergence lost their accommodations as they aged into the upper grades of elementary school. I asked why these children couldn’t have accommodations like fidgets in class any more, and the teacher explained that fidgets could distract the other children. I invented Solace, a quiet crocheted fidget that could be used in a classroom to sooth children who needed support without distracting others. After obtaining a patent, I started Crochet with I.M.P.A.C.T. to see what other issues I could solve with the crochet skills my mother had helped me build. My goals for the company are best communicated through the acronym I.M.P.A.C.T.
